Spring
Creek and Matanzas schools have been combined into one school at two
campuses.
The Spring Creek Matanzas School’s vision is to provide a rigorous
core academic program based upon the California state standards and
district standards. In addition, the students’ educational experiences
will include both technology and the fine arts. Their intellectual,
physical, social, and emotional development will reflect a well-rounded
education of the 21st century.
The curriculum at the Spring Creek Matanzas School has been developed
to provide expanded opportunities for students. They will first attend
the primary school (Spring Creek) where a differentiated curriculum
will specifically meet the needs of the four/five through seven-year-olds.
In addition, the kindergarten, first, and second grade students at Spring
Creek have access to the computer lab, giving them an earlier opportunity
to begin their technological education. They will have the benefit of
a physical education specialist as well. Upon moving to the intermediate
school (Matanzas), students and their families will experience greater
choices and opportunities for creativity, as they participate in an
enhanced technology and fine arts program.
