At Whited School, staff, parents, and community members work together to create a positive learning environment and to deliver high quality, challenging learning experiences for students. The broad goals for students are:

At Whited, people of diverse backgrounds and life-styles are working together, building a school that serves the needs of all students and is a source of pride for everyone involved. There is an expectation that all students can and will learn and grow personally and socially. The School Site Council and the PTA have provided extra books and instructional materials, teacher training funds, and scholarships and tutors for students, supplementing the excellent district programs and curriculum, and helping to make sure that students do meet expectations. There is a strong feeling of family and community around school activities. Annual events such as the Welcome Back Picnic, Hands Across the County Day, and the Hoe-down bring dozens of families and individuals together in support of the school. Many parents are involved as classroom volunteers and as PTA members. Whited also has the weather station, affiliated with KPIX weather report, that is incorporated into the curriculum for 2nd & 5th grades.
