All Eagles Soar, Whatever It Takes!

I hope you all have enjoyed the beautiful, long weekend! I am excited to announce that our "Big Toy" will be opening on Thursday. In the morning, each grade level will have a chance to get trained on the safety rules and have some play time to try it out. At lunch time it will be officially open. The spinner is the only piece that is not ready because it was faulty and we are waiting for a replacement, but the students will be able to enjoy the rest of the equipment.

A few important updates:

  • Garden Club starts up this week. We will now be meeting on Thursdays from 2:45-3:45. Students need a signed permission slip to participate (even if they participated previous years) and there are extras available in the office. Students will meet at the lunch tables right after school. It is important students are picked up promptly at 3:45. We have a lot of work to get our gardens up and running this year. 6th graders who participate can earn community service.
  • There is a Dine & Donate at Rosso on Wednesday. Look for the flyer coming home.
  • Thank you to everyone for helping our new parking lot run smoothly. Please remember to only pick-up and drop-off in the striped lane closest to the curb. Also, please don't block the crosswalk with your car. Cars should not be left unattended at the curb. If you want to pick your child up from their classroom, please find a parking spot instead.
  • If you see one of these cards come home with your child, please consider packing a nut free lunch (or get school lunch). We want all kids to feel like they have friends to sit with at lunch and this invitation means one of our students with a potentially life-threatening nut allergy would love to be buddies with your child.
  • Have a wonderful week!
