Dear Spring Creek Families,                                            March 9, 2020

We are going to have so much fun tomorrow, Monday, March 9th! We are having our STEAM Museum PTA event in the cafeteria. Students will be eating outside due to this. Please make sure your child has a warm jacket. Here is a little information about tomorrow’a event.Want to volunteer? Here is the link:

Say hello to Mobile Ed's STEAM Museum, ready to turn your gymnasium or multipurpose room into a state-of-the-art hands-on children's museum focused on STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, art and math). With activities suitable for all ages, you'll find workstations to not only augment your existing science and math curriculum, but you will also expose your students to high-tech fields of study they never before had access to. In addition, we put the A in STEAM by opening up your student's right-brains through activities that encourage divergent thinking.

Will your child be returning in the Fall of 2020?

We are beginning to work on enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year.  Please let us know what your intentions are for next year. Please click the link below and complete the requested fields.  We need one response per student. If you have any questions please call the office at 545-1771.

Returning 2020-2021

Thank you!

We are taking extra care at Spring Creek to prevent the COVID-19 Virus and other cold and flu viruses. Our dedicated custodians are wiping down all surfaces, door handles, in each room each day. This is added time to their schedules and we really appreciate the effort they are putting in each day to help. Our teachers are having students wash their hands more frequently and they use hand sanitizer throughout the day.

This from the Library:

THANK YOU AMAZING FAMILIES! We surpassed all past Book Fair Sales from

the past and because of your amazing help and support, your child’s library will be buying many more books in the future!! It was such a fun week and your children seemed to have so much fun shopping for books (and yes, toys)! A special thank you to our volunteers!

Please join us for our School Site Council meeting and/or our English Language Acquisition Committee (ELAC) on March 27th. Site Council meets at 7:30 AM in the Spring Creek Library and ELAC meets at 8:45 in the Spring Creek Library. We value your input.

We have some fun events planned for March. See below for more information. Due to Spring Break, our next Cheetah Awards Assembly will be Monday, March 23rd at 8:20, not the usual third Friday of the month.

Attendance Information:

Did you know that if you arrive 30 minutes late to school, or take your child out of school 30 minutes before the dismissal, it counts as an unexcused absence? If you have a doctor/dentist appointment or if the school calls you to pick up your child due to illness, it is excused. Remember to bring in a doctor's note.

Here is a message from the RVUSD regarding Teacher Requests:

As the 2019-20 school year approaches its last few months, planning for next year begins. With this in mind, starting this year, RVUSD has decided to no longer accept teacher requests or learning preference forms from parents/guardians in regards to their children’s placement into the next grade level. We are committed to balancing our classrooms and trust that our teachers will make the best classroom placement decisions for all of their students. We appreciate your support in this matter as we encourage fair and equitable practices for all.

Proud Principal:  See photo below!

When these students come up to the office, it makes me so happy. They get to sign the Proud Principal Poster, get a sticker that says, “My Principal is Proud of Me” and I have added a new happy dance when students come up. Seeing these students come up to the office looking so happy brightens my day and  those who work in our office. Keep up the great work!
