TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR YEARBOOK SALES!!
See the end of this document for ordering details.
Distance learning is going strong and students and teachers have found their groove! We don’t want to interrupt this momentum, but as we enter the final few weeks of distance learning and the end of the school year approaches, we need your help in getting items returned to school. We have organized a schedule for drop off/pick up of various items that respects social-distancing protocols.
Please make note of the following details:
May 8th - Families drop off musical instruments and music books to their school sites between 9:00AM-12:00PM. Please drive into the front parking lot at Binkley and hand your instrument to the staff through your car window. Principals and music teachers will take the instruments and custodians will disinfect them properly.
** If you are a volleyball player, we are also asking you to please bring your volleyball jersey
to Mr. Joe on this day.
May 22nd - Official last day of formal distance learning instruction. Teachers will still connect with students during the week of May 26th.
May 28th and 29th - Please drive into the Binkley front parking lot and hand over chromebooks, chromebook charging cords, and any school library books you may have at home. Additionally, teachers have prepared bags for every student, so even if you do not have any items to drop off please still plan on driving through to receive your child’s bag of personal items from the classroom that the teachers put together. We ask that if at all possible, please plan to bring your child(ren) with you at the scheduled grade-level times below. Specific teachers plan on being there during their time and really want to take this special moment to say good-bye for the summer!

Kindergarten Interviews: We have postponed Kindergarten interviews until August and will be in touch with registered families during the summer with more information.
Virtual Scholastic Book Fair: Our Librarian, Ms. Amy, has organized a virtual book fair. From May 4-17 families can go to this link https://www.scholastic.com/bf/binkleyelementaryschool to purchase books through a virtual book fair. Every purchase gets new books in the hands of students AND provides us with funds so we can purchase new books and materials for the Binkley library.
Binkley Boosters: Binkley Boosters is in the process of electing a new board and we need your support. I encourage you to reach out to the current board through their website http://www.binkleyboosters.com/ to inquire about how you can get involved. New Kindergarten parents, this is a great way to get involved. There are varied ways to offer support and remember, many hands make much lighter work.
Wishing you health and well-being,
