Health Services

Today's school nursing practice is definded as "a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well-being, academic success and lifelong achievement and health of students. To that end, school nurses facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health & safety; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning" (NASN 2009)

R.V.U.S.D. employs one full-time school nurse and one part-time school nurse, who provide health services to our 3,500 students. We can be reached at your child's school site as indicated below or by email at any time.
