Meet the Principal

Cecilia Franco Holt

Principal, Village Elementary School

Cecilia Franco Holt was born in Chihuahua, Mexico but was raised in California from age 1. When she started Kindergarten, Cecilia did not know one word of English but was assisted by a great Kindergarten teacher who taught her how to speak English all through elementary school. Cecilia attended the University of California, Stanislaus where she attained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing in 1990. Cecilia started a family while in college and had 4 boys during her college years.

In 1990, Cecilia decided to become a teacher and went back to school. She started teaching during this time as well and obtained a Masters in Educational Administration in 1992. Cecilia started out teaching third grade and taught for 12 years. Cecilia has taught Kindergarten through sixth grade during the teaching years. On September 11, 2001, Cecilia became an administrator and has been a principal for the last 16 years. Cecilia enjoys working with students and teachers and loves working at being a principal. Cecilia enjoys traveling and tries to travel to exciting places with exotic cultures. Among the favorite destinations have been Hong Kong, Singapore, and Greece. Cecilia also loves to read biographies and enjoys completing research on new learning.
