Dear Spring Creek Families,                                    Nov. 18, 2019

This Thursday Family Potluck: We are so excited about connecting with all of you about our Thankful for our SCMC Potluck this Thursday night at 6:00 in the Spring Creek Cafeteria. Please bring a dish to share for 8-10 people. I look forward to sharing a meal with all of you.

Candy/Coin Drive Results: Thank you to everyone who participated in Feeding the Candy Monster for our candy drive for our soldiers overseas who don’t not have access. We collected over 230pounds of candy! Congratulations to the 1st grade students who took first place in our dime/coin drive. They will get a popcorn party! Hooray!  Spring Creek brought in over $700.00.

Garden Update: Thanks to our parents who helped with emptying and relocating our final 5 garden boxes last Friday. Up until dark. Spring Creek is looking good. We are working hard to make an inviting space for students to enjoy meals and have a place to perform skits, events and readers theater.

PTA General Meeting this Wednesday, Nov.20th at 6:30 at Matanzas: You are invited to attend our PTA meeting and get involved in our school. Together we can make this year the best for our students.

Winterfest Concert is coming soon: Do you want to see your children perform? You’re invited to our Winterfest Holiday Concert Dec. 5th. Come hear your children perform holiday music.

Click the flyer link below for details and times.

I am very concerned: Students and parents are jaywalking. Parents are encouraging  their children to run across the street without going to the cross walk. I am so worried that one of our students/families will get injured. To complicate this, we still have parents who are making U turns in the middle of the street and in our staff parking lot. This has to stop!!!! PLEASE! Our campus opens at 7:45 and supervision is provided for students a half hour before school. Please leave home earlier so you are not in a rush.

A Solution in the DropOff/Pick Up: Please pull up all the way to the very front of the white zone when you arrive. The white zone is meant to be a very quick drop off and pick up. No braiding and combing hair, watching videos on your phone. THIS IS A QUICK DROP OFF AND PICK UP ONLY!!! PLEASE!!! People complain about the frustration they feel with the drop off/pick up zone, so we all need to help. We are a TEAM.

Parking Volunteers: Help Needed

We are looking for volunteers to help monitor drop off/pick up in front of the school. Even if you can only commit to one day or one morning or afternoon, we would appreciate your help. Please contact our office manager, Sarah Hall and let her know that day/s you would like to help.

Food Drive: Food is collected to help our Spring Creek and Matanzas families. Please donate non- perishable foods and /or a $10.00 grocery gift card to your child’s classroom teacher. Your generous donations will help families that attend our school. Teachers have container in their room for collection.
