MEET THE PRINCIPAL -BETH ACOSTA

Beth Acosta grew up just over the hill in Calistoga. She knew from a young age that she wanted to work with children. After graduating from Sacramento State University, she went on to earn her teaching credential and eventually her master’s degree in educational leadership and an administrative credential. Beth spent years teaching in Sacramento and then became an assistant principal at a K-8 school. She was thrilled to return to the area in 2006 when she was hired to be a principal. Beth has been working in the Rincon Valley district since 2015. Whited Elementary School feels like home to Beth, where she loves the strong community feel between the staff and families.

When she’s not working, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Sports and kids’ activities keep her busy, but when she has some free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, and being crafty.
