Thinking Thursday: It is possible to break down the seven-digit number 1234567 and insert plus signs between certain digits (or groups of digits) in such a way to produce a result of 100.
One way is: 1 + 23 + 4 + 5 + 67 = 100.
Can you think of another way?

7 girls
Seven girls have seven bags each
49 bags
Each bag has seven big cats
343 big cats
For each big cat there are seven small cats
2401 small cats
How many legs?
Assuming each girl has two legs, each cat has four
7(2) + 343(4) + 2401(4)
10990
So there are 10990 legs on the bus

Wonder Wednesday - Here’s a riddle: There are 7 girls on a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. In each backpack, there are 7 big cats. For each big cat, there are 7 little cats. How many legs are on the bus, not counting the driver? I'll send the answer later!

A MESSAGE FROM PTA PRESIDENT KATHY DEWEESE - Hello, again, my fellow distance-learning Mustangs!
We are looking forward to our remote PTA General Association Meeting on Thursday, April 16 at 6:15 pm. We have a few items of business, including ratifying expenses, adopting changes to PTA bylaws, and electing officers for next year. This will also be a great opportunity to hear from our superstar principal Lisa Christopherson.
We do have an unfilled spot on the slate of elected officers for next year. If you are interested in serving as the Madrone PTA Vice President, there will be an opportunity to take nominations from the floor, so please consider nominating yourself. We would love to have more parents participate in the leadership side of PTA.
The agenda for the meeting is attached to this email; supporting documents for the meeting are also available here:
Google Docs folder for the 4/16 PTA General Association meeting. If you can review the documents in advance of the meeting, that would be great.
