Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! As we embark on this exciting journey of learning together, we want to emphasize the critical importance of regular attendance.

Did you know? Students who attend school regularly are more likely to:
-Build strong academic foundations
-Develop consistent learning routines
-Form meaningful relationships with peers and teachers
-Feel connected to our school community

Our goal this year is to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive, and that starts with being present. Even missing just 2 days a month can put your child at risk of falling behind academically.

Please help us make every day count by:
-Scheduling appointments outside school hours when possible
-Planning vacations during scheduled breaks
-Establishing consistent morning routines
-Communicating with us if your child will be absent

We want to inform you that our phone service provider is currently experiencing a widespread outage affecting customers throughout the Americas, including our district's phone systems. As a result, some calls to our school offices may be dropped or unable to connect. Please be assured that: We maintain multiple communication channels for emergencies Our ability to contact emergency services remains unaffected We can still communicate with parents through our alternate systems The school sites and district office remains operational and accessible Our service provider has indicated they are working to resolve the issue, and we expect phone service to be restored shortly. Dear Rincon Valley Families, We hope this message finds you well as the new school year is fast approaching. The Rincon Valley Union School District Superintendent, Amy Jones, has recently notified the District that she is needing to take a medical leave of absence. We understand that this news may raise concerns, but please know that Amy is receiving the necessary care and support. During Amy's absence, the Board of Trustees has assigned Deputy Superintendent, Mike Herfurth, to serve in the role of Interim Superintendent. Mike brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this role, and we are confident in his ability to ensure continuity and stability within our District. We are sending this email as we understand the importance of clear communication during times of transition, and we assure you that Mike will work closely with the administrative team to maintain the high standards of education and support that our students deserve. We appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate this situation together. We wish Amy the best during her medical leave and we remain committed to keeping you informed about any updates and changes throughout the school year. Spring Break coming up! Thankfully we will not have to use the two potential Emergency Days, therefore Spring Break will be from Friday, March 17-Monday, March 27.

RVFC ("Rincon Valley Family Collaborative") is a forum for joint collaboration and communication between Rincon Valley Union School District and our families of students with disabilities. If you are a parent/guardian of a student with an IEP served by RVUSD or Rincon Valley Partnership, please join us on Monday, March 13th from 6-7pm via Zoom. We have not yet received confirmation, but based on our testing Verizon has resolved the call routing issue for their customers. Calls to the District Office, Manzanita, and Village are now being correctly processed for Verizon customers.
