The Transportation Department operates home to school routes at no cost for our students. Each year, eligible students will be assigned to a designated bus stop. Our goal is to make Transportation accessible for our students but also easy for our families to take advantage of within our district boundaries. To provide a clear process on how to "Opt In" to take advantage of our approved bus stop locations. And to continue with our health and safety protocols that were established during the 22-23 School Year.

How to "Opt In" for transportation:

  1. Complete the (TRF)form: listed under helpful links

  2. Turn in the completed form in (3 simple ways to do so)

    • Completed Forms can be submitted to:

      1. Emailed to

      2. Mailed to RVUSD, Attn Transportation, 1000 Yulupa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95405

      3. Office Manager at your school of attendance

  3. Estimated turn around time is 5 business days

  4. Transportation will contact you to confirm your bus stop with your estimated time for Pick up & Drop off

Routes and times will be updated via the website. We encourage everyone to check back by Friday July 29, 2022 as your times may have been updated.

Special Education Transportation:

Our goal is to ensure a safe and pleasant trip to and from school for all students. This will enhance the positive learning environment for each student on a daily basis. For  students  identified  for  special  education services, the Individualized Education Program (IEP) designation will determine if your child requires transportation. Families do not have to submit a Transportation Request as the Student Services Department supporting our special education programs will do so on your behalf. The process is similar to our "Opt In" initiative:

  1. Transportation will receive the request

  2. Transportation will determine the mode of transportation based upon key factors such as time of day, location, and space availability on each of our vehicles

  3. Estimated turn around time is 5 business days

  4. Before your student can be transported, our staff will need to speak with you directly to go over the established route for your student

  5. We do ask, if your student will not be riding on a particular day, that you do call our office location (number listed below) by 7am the day of to let us know

  6. If a change needs to be made, an updated request will need to be submitted on your behalf. Our drivers are not authorized to make such a change on your behalf.

Need to make a change(ie, address change, cancelling request) to your request already submitted?:

  1. Resubmit the change request via the same (TRF) form attached below

  2. Turn in the completed form (3 simple ways to do so)

  3. Estimated turn around time is 5 business days

  4. Transportation will contact you to confirm the change to your original request

Need our team to help with a one time exception for your student to ride?

  1. Complete the exception form (listed under helpful links)

  2. Have your school administrator sign it

  3. Have your student hand it to the bus driver prior to getting on the bus
