If you need after school care and are unable to receive care at an on campus program, and your student is at least 5 and going into Kindergarten, please consider registering with The Zones. Their website can be found here: https://www.thezonesyouth.org/

RVUSD provides bus transportation to The Zones. Simply complete the Transportation Request in your student's first day packet or with the Office Manager at your school and write The Zones as their destination. Additionally, if you qualify for the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, you will receive free transportation and tuition at The Zones.

Expanded Learning Opportunities Program

At RVUSD Extended Care and The Zones, if your student qualifies for the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP), RVUSD will pay for their tuition. Students qualify for ELOP funding if they are officially registered with RVUSD as one of the following:

  • Free and Reduced Lunch

  • English Language Learner

  • Foster or Homeless Youth

Free and Reduced Lunch must be applied for each year. Office Managers have Free and Reduced Lunch Applications and you can find them online here: https://www.myschoolapps.com/

Incoming Students who have not yet started at RVUSD cannot apply for Free and Reduced Lunch until the beginning of the school year.

If your student qualified for ELOP during the 2023-2024 school year, they will automatically receive funding through October 2024 for the 2023-2024. Please use this grace period to make sure your student is properly registered for ELOP in the coming school year.
